"I love water. I love swimming. I don’t do it to compete, to win a prize or to set a record. I do it for health and fitness. I do it for fun and I enjoy it! Today swimming is my daily activity for life.
As a child, I wanted to become an Olympic champion, but it was beyond my reach. When I grew up I realized that I would rather teach to swim for fitness and health than for competition. There are always children who either, don’t or can’t, become hard-working athletes and adults who missed the opportunity to learn to swim when they were younger but they still want to obtain this fundamental skill.
With experience, my job turned to passion and I like when my students learn how to enjoy their journey to be fitter and healthier by learning to swim. Water is a great source of enjoyment, but to really enjoy it one should know how to feel confident in water.
As an experienced swimming instructor, my advice is to please make sure that you, as a beginner, are taught how to be confident in the water first and foremost before actually learning to swim!"
